J'ai testé l'anche Jazz 2.5 sur un bec Selmer Soloist C**. Le son m'a semblé plus timbré , la projection plus importante et l'émission plus facile qu'avec une Vandoren bleue de force équivalente. Le passage d'intervalles étendus septièmes ou octaves a provoqué parfois un couac mais plus imputables, je crois, au musicien qu'au matériel. Une découverte intéressante donc , à poursuivre.avec un bec un peu plus ouvert.

The hollowed core of the Ligaphone reed is an interesting theory. But it doesn't work in practice. The reed becomes unstable and hard to play, it doesn't produce the superior harmonics suggested by the manufacturer, and it doesn't improve on time-tested traditional reed designs. Additionally, the carving in the middle is very badly finished, with a rough surface that contributes to the disappointing performance.
